Content to link ratio.

If you are using your free internet advertising to boost your website's position in the search engines, then we strongly recommend that you place 1 link for every 100 words you write on your page. 100/1 ratio will provide the search engines with plenty of content to read before they find the link to your website. Additionally if you are thinking of linking to all your products and or services, consider writing at least a 100 word description for each product or service before you place the link for people to follow.

Colours and fonts.

Your free internet advertising page is intentionally very plain, this is so visitors to your page spend their time reading your content and not admiring the design that will distract them. You are welcome to use the tools within your editor to change the colours and font as much as you wish, however we recommend that you only use a maximum of 3 different colours and 2-3 different fonts, this again is only to ensure that the visitor feels comfortable reading your content and is not confused or distracted by other things.

Use images.

We have all heard the saying that a picture paints a thousand words, and with advertising that is very true. If you are using your page to talk about a product or service that your provide, include an image of the product so they may refer to it while reading about it, this will give them the confidence when they click through to your website that they already have a good idea of what the product looks like and how it works before they read more or look for ways to purchase from you.

Google's YouTube has changed the way many products and services are sold online by allowing you to show a true demonstration or explain added benefits/features that will help prompt a sale. You are welcome to use your video on your free internet advertising page by simply placing the code within your page. A word of warning about videos, a bad video may give the impression of a bad product or service, so unless you have a quality video to show, don't show any.
