Deshka Wilderness Lodge offers clean comfortable rooms, hearty homecooked meals, experienced guide and great fishing for salmon and trout. The Deshka River is a clear water river that starts in the foothills of the Alaskan Range in the shadow of Denali. The Deshka is well known for it's great runs of powerful King (Chinook) salmon, hard hitting Silver (Coho) Salmon, numerous Pink (Humpie) Salmon and beautiful Rainbow Trout.
Our lodge is small and we take only a limited amount of guests to provide everyone a much better experience and great personal service. You are flown in from Anchorage to our river were we meet you in a jet boat and take you even further back into the wilderness. Our guests are treated to spectacular views of the nearby mountains (including Denali on a clear day), wildlife like grizzly bears, moose and bald eagle and of course a great fishing experience.
The guests rooms are comfortably furnished with running hot and cold water ad electricity 24/7. these are the rooms you would expect to find in a city our along a major roadway and yet we are miles and miles from the nearest roads. Meals are basic meat and potato type meals served family style in the lodge. We run all first class boats and top notch fishing equipment.
