David has enormous respect for Neil Diamond and believes him to be one of the finest song writers and performers of modern times. Although there is a striking similarity in the vocal tones and delivery of Neils songs in David's tribute, David insists that it is really more about the man ( Neil Diamond ) and the wonderful music he has written over the decades..
